Dr. Teresa Lovins, M.D.
Teresa Lovins, MD is a board certified family medicine physician. She is originally from Columbus and practiced in a private office for 14 years doing family medicine with obstetrics prior to coming to Promptmed in 2009.
She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1992 and from St Francis Family Practice Residency in Beech Grove in 1995. She was certified in 1995 and recertified in 2008 in Family Medicine. She has been active at the local and state level in the politics of medicine. She has recently finished a year as the President of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and started a year as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the IAFP. She has also been the President and Secretary/Treasurer of the local Bartholomew/Brown Medical Society which is a division of the Indiana State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
For 20 years, she has been married to Don who is an accountant. She has 4 children: Roth, Sam, Matt and Abigail. Her parents and three sisters, 4 nieces and 1 nephew also live in Columbus.
